This time we came across Lisette Barendse-Scheffers, who is active in Floréac purchasing, in the busy trade aisles.
Not entirely coincidental in our anniversary year, because Floréac has been a loyal customer of KP Holland since the first hour and there are many similarities. The Floré Group is a family-run horticultural enterprise, founded in 1954, with its headquarters in Lochristi, Belgium. Active in breeding, propagation, production, trade and distribution of floricultural products. Under the motto “Innovating Horticulture Together” they attach great importance to sustainability and progressive entrepreneurship. Corporate social responsibility and profitable business is a spearhead.
The trade and distribution division has 7 companies that focus on garden centers, the do-it-yourself market and wholesalers within the European market. Each of the trading companies provides customized service and logistical solutions.
Regarding the similarities between Floréac and KP Holland, Lisette says: “We are both a family business, with nurseries and own propagation, where the 3rd generation is now or will be managing the company. In addition, we both strive for the same goals.” Lisette knows the following about the cooperation from history: “We used to buy Rademachera, Spathipyllum Sensation, Claudius, Quattro and Eurogigant from KP Holland. KP Holland was one of the first progressive pot plant growers. Jan van der Knaap was well-liked and respected. Geert Floré was happy to drop by to buy full trucks of Spathipyllum, 12 * 7 in high boxes for Italian customers, before he was back in Lochristi the entire car had already been sold … “
About how Lisette sees the cooperation with KP Holland in the future she says the following: “Very positive, with the same way of thinking and vision we will go a long way. Strong together!” The archive photo shows how Floréac used to load at KP Holland. For more information about the Floré Group please visit www.flore.be.
