General information on Kalanchoë Rosalina®
The Kalanchoe originates from East Africa, Madagascar and South-East Asia. The Kalanchoe is a branch of the Crassulaceae family and is therefore one of the succulent plants. One of the Kalanchoe’s specific properties is its ability to store moisture in its fleshy leaves. This is the plant’s safeguard against the drier periods which occur in its country of origin.
Both the botanical and cultivated Kalanchoe are currently grown. The latter Kalanchoe is a perfected selection of the Kalanchoe Blossfeldiana. This Kalanchoe derives its name from the German grower, Herr Blossfeld who first traded in the plant in 1932.
